Coaching Staff Names 2009 Captains
The
captains for the 2009-2010 VC Soccer season were named last week.
They are Danny Hittler,
Justin Berding, and
Justin Cordeiro.
Danny Hittler - Defender
"Danny has always been a vocal presence in the back for us, and this
year we need that with some young guys back there. I've always
loved Danny's positioning. He really puts himself in the best
position when defending the WCAL players. It's no cakewalk playing
against some of these guys, but he's done a great job for us."
Coach John Basanese said.
Justin Berding - Defender
"Berd is one of those kids who does things right.
He's the type of guy you can rely on, without question. He really
buys into our system, on and off the field, and it suits him well.
Not to mention the fact that he's a tremendous soccer player. I
love the attitude, and his abilities make him an easy choice for us
coaches. We're expecting a breakthrough season for Justin
Berding." Basanese said.
Justin Cordeiro - Defensive Mid.
"We're really excited to see what Justin can do this year
with more responsibility. His play speaks for itself...I've said
it a number of times, I think he's one of the best defensive midfielders
around. He's going to have a great season, and adding some
leadership to his responsibilities will really help him. We're
lucky to have Justin!" Basanese concluded.
