Two more strong, VC Alum begin
college soccer seasons for ranked teams.
With Jeff Coggan and Ben Hansen joining the college ranks,
the list now stands at six active college players who played their high
school soccer at Valley Christian.

Donny Dequine: MF, Azusa Pacific
University.
Entering his senior year with APU, Donny
will look to build on success that has seen him score 4 goals, and 4
assists in 57 games played. The team is ranked #2 in the Nation (NAIA)
after a trip to the national championship game last season.

San Jose Firecrackers in the

Brandon Stirm: MF, Azusa Pacific
University.
Entering his Junior year with APU, Brandon
already has racked up 10 goals, and 20 assists for the Cougars in 45
games. Of Stirm's 10 goals, 4 of them were game winners. After a
successful offseason spent with the Firecrackers, Brandon will look to
join Dequine in helping APU back to nationals.

James Coggan: F, Seattle Pacific
University.
Entering his Junior year with SPU, Coggan
will be a starter for the NCAA DII's 9th ranked team. Last season,
Jimmy had 5 goals and 5 assists, and led the team to a second round
berth in the NCAA tourney. The team is off to a great start with a 3-0
pounding of Chico State. James also played with the Firecrackers in the
offseason, leading the team in goals en route to the O'Connor Cup title.

Chris
Zambataro: F, Dominican College.
Entering his sophomore year with Dominican,
Chris will look to get time with the first team. Last year, the
team lost in the regional playoffs, but was the CAL PAC champs! Chris
will factor in as the team makes a push for a repeat.

Ben Hansen:
GK, Azusa Pacific University.
Valley Christian's all-time leading
goalkeeper takes his show down south to APU to join Stirm and Dequine in
the attempt to win a National Championship. Ben joins three other
goalkeepers in a competition that promises to keep him on his toes.
Ben will also be fighting for the starting
job on the football team, ranked #11 in the country. Hansen will
attempt to become the first athlete in ten years at APU to play both
soccer and football at the same time (last was coach Basanese in '96).

Jeff Coggan:
MF, Santa Clara University.
Valley Christian's all-time leader in
goals, assists, points, and game winning goals has joined one of the
nation's most prestigious soccer programs, Santa Clara. In his
first two games, Jeff's team has taken on Stanford, and Cal, and is
ranked in the top 20 of NCAA Division I soccer.
Jeff will battle with other top players
from around the country to win a job in the midfield.
