Warriors Alumni spread out, and open accounts. 9/06/05

The number of Valley Christian Boys soccer alumni that are now playing college continues to grow.

• Chris Zambataro has cut his teeth with Dominican College, having already gotten into a few games this season. More information on this to come soon.

• Jared Strate ('05) is playing for NCAA DIII school, LeTourneau University in Texas. His bio can be found here. His team is off to a 1-1 start.

NAIA #8 Azusa Pacific University

The trio of Jimmy Coggan, Donny Dequine and Brandon Stirm are up to their old tricks at their school as well...

Dequine, in his Junior season, scored the winning goal against #7 ranked Judson in Illinois on Saturday 9/3.  Donny worked hard all summer while playing for the club side Firecrackers, from San Jose (www.sjfirecrackers.com).

Azusa Pacific is off to a 3-0 start with Dequine and Stirm starting in each of the first 3 games.  Azusa Pacific is currently ranked #8 in the country for the NAIA, but that is likely to change after defeating the #7 team.

NCAA DII #5 Seattle Pacific University

Jimmy Coggan returns for his Sophomore season at Seattle Pacific University, who is currently ranked #5 in the NCAA DII polls. Jim's last minute goal sealed the win versus Sonoma State on Saturday. It was his first tally of the young season, and his two assists have helped SPU to a 3-0-1...picking up right where they left off from a 13-3-2 season last year.
