Stirm, All-GSAC in
his true freshman year!
Brandon Stirm has
another plaque to stick on the wall, this one the first of many college
awards to come. This afternoon he was named 1st Team ALL-GSAC for
his contributions to APU this year.
Joining Point Loma Nazarene’s Brian Thames
as one of 2 freshmen named to the team, Stirm was tied for third on the
team with 18 points scoring 5 goals and assisting on 8 others. His 8
assists rank eighth in the conference. Of his 5 goals, 4 of them were
game-winners with all of them coming in the Cougars’ first 8 games. He
got his game-winners in some of the Cougars biggest games of the season
against the likes of NAIA Region II Playoff No. 2-seed Holy Names, then
No. 2-ranked Fresno Pacific and in overtime road wins against then No.
17-ranked Berry (Ga.) and Concordia.
