APU Alum making major differences in their college
teams 11/2
As the cream of the college soccer crop
across the country prepares for the National tournament, three VC Alum
are helping lead the charge. Brandon Stirm ('03), Jimmy Coggan
('03), and Donny Dequine ('02) are all playing pivotal roles for their
teams. Find the VC Soccer alumni update below:
Brandon Stirm: MF, Azusa Pacific
University.
Stirmy has run his totals to 16 goals, and
30 assists at APU. In addition he added a second All-GSAC 1st team
trophy to his cabinet.
Brandon led the GSAC in assists this season
with 10. In yesterday's NAIA Regional playoff game, Brandon scored
both goals in a 2-0 win over Point Loma! The story from that game,

APU is currently ranked #11 in the NAIA,
and they will take on Westmont in the Regional Semi-finals this weekend
in Los Angeles.

James Coggan: F, Seattle Pacific
University.
Not to be outdone, Jimmy Coggan is also
having a standout season up north. Heading into the Far West
Regional playoffs this week, Jim has already been awarded 1st Team All-GNAC.
Jim was named player of the week for the GNAC twice this year, and
finished near the top in every offensive category. In total, he
finished the regular season with 6 goals and 6 assists!
SPU is currently ranked #17 in the NCAA
Division II, and will travel to Carson to play Cal State LA this week.

Donny Dequine: MF, Azusa Pacific
University.
Having recently played in his 75th college
game, Donny has showed to be a consistent contributor in all four
seasons at APU. With 4 goals and 6 assists in his career, Donny is
looking to add a National Championship in his final year playing for
Azusa Pacific.

Chris
Zambataro: F, Dominican College.
Chris' Dominican College team finished the
season in second place. Chris played a part in 10 games, and
finished with 1 goal and 1 assist, congrats Z!

Ben Hansen:
GK, Azusa Pacific University.
Starting for the APU football team, Ben
has yet to see his first game between the pipes for the soccer team.
Ben has made four field goals, and is perfect on extra points (17).
He is second on his team in scoring with 14 points. Ben has by far
done the most traveling, visiting Ohio, Wisconsin, Washington, and Oregon, and Oklahoma
is coming up next.

Jeff Coggan:
MF, Santa Clara University.
Though used sparingly so far, Jeff has seen
some time on the pitch for the NCAA Division I 7th ranked Broncos.
